Claims Assistent / Claims Administrator
Main Purpose of the Job
To assist in the handling and processing of Claims from first notification to settlement
Key Tasks:
• Set up new claim files on mainframe computer system and make up paper files
• Obtain claim files for claims handlers
• Maintain and up-date Genius system computer records
• Preparation of standard correspondence to relevant parties
• Maintain databases for Large Claim Advices (LCA)
• General photocopying/faxing
• Match incoming post to claim files
• General filing
• Scan documents onto mainframe computer
• Other general administrative duties
• Assistant to the local manager
Education, skills and experience:
• MBO/HBO Level of thinking
• Preferably Basic Insurance certificate
• Minimum of one year office junior experience ideally in a general insurance company
• Basic typing skills
• Ability to deal with figures accurately and to record information neatly
• Good computer skills (must be proficient in use of Microsoft software especially Word and Excel)

• Good inter-personal and communication skills; both written and verbal
• Keen to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
